Fort William driving test routes
Practise for your practical driving test at Fort William in a 3D game marked like the real test. The median wait for a car test here is 15.6 weeks (DVSA, August 2026).
Real-road data around Fort William isn't detailed enough yet to build proper test routes, so this centre uses three practice routes in a local style. They still include every part of the test.
Route 2 🔒 Centre pass
Manoeuvre, hill start and independent driving.
Route 3 🔒 Centre pass
Faster roads, crossings and hazards.
Every route includes a manoeuvre (parallel parking or pulling up on the right and reversing), a hill start, about ten minutes of independent driving by sat nav or road signs, and hazards to react to.
Questions about Fort William
Are these the official Fort William test routes?
No. DVSA doesn't publish test routes, and examiners can use any roads near the centre. These practice routes use the real roads around the centre, so you'll practise the junctions, roundabouts, crossings and speed limits you're likely to meet.
What does the game mark?
Mirrors, signals, lane position, speed, junction observation, pedestrian crossings, manoeuvres, hill starts, the controlled stop and hazard response. You get a driving test report at the end, with minor, serious and dangerous faults like the real test.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. It runs in your browser on phones, tablets and computers, with on-screen pedals and indicator buttons. On a computer you can use the keyboard or a game controller.
